Long before Laguna Hills became the vibrant Orange County community it is today, this land was part of the vast Moulton Ranch, a sweeping landscape of rolling hills, grazing sheep, and hardworking ranchers who helped shape Southern California. Moulton Ranch once stretched across more than 21,000 acres, influencing the development of communities like Laguna Hills, Mission Viejo, and Aliso Viejo.

At the heart of this story were ranching pioneers Lewis Fenno Moulton and Nellie Gail Moulton - partners in life and in building one of Orange County’s most influential agricultural operations. Their legacy of resilience, creativity, and stewardship of the land helped shape the character of the region we know today. Today, that spirit lives on at Tiller House Laguna Hills, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel.
